Difficult to get your bill from them. 5 times that I've been there, they have never voluntarily given the bill and even hesitate to do so when asked for it, by citing some problem with the billing machine. It's very clear that without a bill it's easier for them to not pay taxes at the end of the month. Food quality has decreased drastically the last time I went there.

Had visited this place already many times before but forgot to write a rating...since I like writing positive ratings I am most happy to provide one to this place. If I am not mistaken the royal Punjab mastered dishes from the Kashmiri region , or so I remember being told by the waiter(same guy all the years ?) Disregarding this fact or no fact, all the dishes are royally fantastic and plenty to feed a hungry man. Always hard to choose what to eat. When it comes to drinks go with the mango lassi...sooo good ? The mukhwas offered at the end are so simple and yet a great detail of the whole experience. My recommendation to guests: Make a reservation, the place ain't that big My recommendation to the owner: Don't close your business.

One of my favorite restaurants in Köln and my only favorite Indian restaurant in Köln. Their dishes have good north Indian taste (just the way I like ?), the quantity and the price on most of the dishes, at least.

On Sunday evening we went to the Royal Punjab, a very famous restaurant in Cologne. I have been to Indian restaurants many times, but I can assure you that this restaurant is the best of them all. The food was delicious and the drinks were all fresh. What impressed me the most was the friendliness in the service the young man did a nice job and then I was surprised that the restaurant was almost full and he alone checked everything a great job. This restaurant is recommended Thanks Zulfi.

I ordered chicken curry and my husband ordered chicken Biryani and both were very good and delicious. I Absolutely recommend it

Excellent Indian gastronomy restaurant! They took great care of me, respecting all post-quarantine regulations. I told him to recommend a typical dish, and they brought me a chicken curry with rice and bread, it was incredible the flavor and the hotness of the food. Accompany with an Indian beer to go with the plate. I recommend the place. Payment only in cash.

Delicious food! I've been there twice and after eating my stomach was full !!! Good offer, nice staff, good prices and the decoration is very fitting. If you miss or love spicy food, you can order number 67 and 304 extra spicy. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone !!! (There are also good vegetarian dishes) I will definitely go again and enjoy delicious food. It is also a good place to meet friends.

The food was really good. Their portions are quite substantial. We ended up packing up our food abd it will easily give us another meal. One of the best Indian restaurants we have come across in cologne. The service was quick and kind and professional. We ordered the hot, abd I found it just right, but it was quite spicy for my boyfriend. Naan was quite close to the real thing as well. The tang in the panner jalfraize was just right and was a good accompaniment to the creamy dal makhani. Their lassi was very tasty. I would definitely recommend this place.

They offer a good lunch menu and in the regular menu you find options for chicken, lamb, vegetarians, etc. The portion of the regular menu are quite big, so I think you could share one with two people.

Wow simple very awesome

Absolutely loved it. Starting from appetizers to main course, everything was yummilicious. Very original taste. We tried samosa, seekh kebab, chicken methi, tikka chicken handi and mango lassi. Will go again.

The best place to experience Pakistani/Indian punjabi food. I have not eaten any desi food as good as this place's. Been in Germany for over 5 years. Very humble staff and an eastern themed ambience will surely cheer you and your date up. The food can be served moderately spicy /sharp but if you want less of it, tell them beforehand.

Firstly vegetarian food was very poor. We ordered vegetable biriyani and paneer tikka masala. Too spicy hence requested for alteration.. couldn't consume even after alteration. Secondly no Never courtesy from the owner as he was arguing for home water bottle to be used for the kid. would never recommend this restaurant..

Great food. Good ambience. I ordered the tandoori platter. The meat could've been softer but the marination was first-class. The decorations on the walls and in the restaurant in general are super traditional and the second you enter, you basically have these Punjabi vibes, which I really like.

Was there on a Tuesday night and the restaurant was completely Full which was a good sign!. Is nicely located next to Friesenplatz in Cologne and was recommended to me by some locals as being "the best indian restaurant in Cologne". I had the Lamb Kahari and the Mango Lassi and both were amazing. Really good quality Lamb really soft and succulent with loads of fresh herbs with a full flavor that you only get when it is marinated and cooked over a longer time! Really a great experience I can only recommend.. The only thing they can improve on is their choice of Gin s and also would be nice if they had some more choice of tonics: For example Fever tree or Thomas Henry tonics!

Great Indian in the city center. It is better to reserve a table here. The menu is very comprehensive and contains many different dishes. Whether meat (of any kind), fish or vegetarian, everywhere there is a large selection. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Everything was great - except for the toilets, because you could spend a few euros. But all in all an absolute tip. So off to the authentic Indian restaurant.
